This 3-hour accredited training is for anyone who supports a person with epilepsy and may be required to administer buccal midazolam for prolonged seizures.
The course will provide delegates with a full understanding of epilepsy, the different seizure types and the impact epilepsy has on learning and behaviour.
Training also includes the use of emergency medication for prolonged seizures (buccal midazolam) and sets out the principles and safety aspects that relate to administration.
A variety of teaching and learning methods are used, including, interactive group workshops, case studies, and video footage demonstrating different seizure types.

Training can include the administration of rectal diazepam and/or rectal paraldehyde upon request.
This engaging and interactive programme is delivered by highly experienced Registered Nurses with current clinical experience in epilepsy. Training sessions are available during the day, in the evening, and on weekends.
A certificate of attendance is awarded on completion of the course.
Training is delivered at your venue or virtually face-to-face by way of video conference. Tailored to your requirements and scheduled at a date and time that suits you.
