Type 1 Diabetes Awareness Training Course (2 hours)

The incidence of type 1 diabetes is increasing by four percent each year and is the most common type of diabetes found in children and young people.

Our diabetes awareness training provides a comprehensive understanding of diabetes and equips staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to support a pupil with type 1 diabetes in the school environment.

This 2-hour training covers types of medication, how to control glucose levels, what to do in an emergency, and how to provide a child or young person with emotional and practical support on a daily basis.

Course content:

 

A Certificate of Attendance is awarded on completion of the course.

The cost is £350 for groups of up to 16 people, with quotes available for larger numbers.

The training can be delivered at your venue* or virtually, face-to-face, on a date and time that suits you.
