Diabetes Type 1 Awareness Training Course (2 hours)

The incidence of type 1 diabetes is increasing by four per cent each year and is the most common type of diabetes found in children and young people.

Our diabetes awareness training provides a comprehensive understanding of diabetes and will equip staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to support a pupil with diabetes type 1 in the school environment.

Training includes types of  medication, how to control glucose levels, what to do in an emergency, and how to provide a child with emotional and practical support on a daily basis.

Course content:

 

A Certificate of Attendance is awarded on completion of the course.

£295 for groups of up to 16 people (quotes given for larger numbers).

Training is delivered either face to face at your venue or as ‘Virtual TEACH’ – face to face training delivered by way of video conference. Tailored to your requirements and delivered on a date and time that suits you.
