Diabetes Type 1 Awareness (2 hours)
The incidence of type 1 diabetes is increasing by four per cent each year and is the most common type of diabetes found in children and young people.
Our diabetes awareness training provides a comprehensive understanding of diabetes and will equip staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to support a pupil with diabetes type 1 in the school environment.
Training includes types of medication, how to control glucose levels, what to do in an emergency, and how to provide a child with emotional and practical support on a daily basis.
A Certificate of Attendance is awarded on completion of the course.
£295 for groups of up to 16 people (quotes given for larger numbers).
Training is delivered either face to face at your venue or as ‘Virtual TEACH’ – face to face training delivered by way of video conference. Tailored to your requirements and delivered on a date and time that suits you.
