Autistic Spectrum Disorder Awareness (90 minutes)
Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a term used to describe a number of symptoms and behaviours which affect the way in which a group of people understand and react to the world around them. It is an umbrella term which includes autism, Asperger syndrome and pervasive developmental disorders.
ASD affects how a child communicates, relates to others, and makes sense of the world around them.
