Anaphylaxis & Allergy Awareness Training Course
Anaphylaxis & Allergy Awareness Training Course
This course provides a basic understanding of allergy awareness, recognition of an allergic reaction and identification and treatment of a severe allergic reaction.
A demonstration on how to use an Adrenaline auto injector (Epipen & Jext), prescribed to treat an anaphylaxis reaction, is included in this training and you will be given the opportunity to familiarise yourself with them.
We also discuss best practice for emergency procedures, storage of emergency medication and health care plans.
This training gives suggestions on ways of working to eliminate the use of allergens in the school environment. We discuss how to support a child or young person with allergies to develop in the normal way and not be stigmatised or made to feel different from their peers.
Our fun and interactive training programmes are delivered by highly experienced Registered Nurses who combine real life experience with evidence based practice.
